AR Jordan

This piece was created because I take pride in being an original inner city Chicagoan from some of the toughest streets and I am passionate about hoops culture. I was born and raised in the city and I played full courts from the South Side to the West Side. Balling in the hood fueled my visual art. I played in Humboldt Park for years as a child before playing on a crate at 12 years old in Albany Park. I excelled, I had handles, I took it to the paint and I delivered. Ask the crew and check on their ankles. J.K. Love ya'll, "eNsquaSH". Frankly, it's my disproportionate reach that helped me. I could score, steal, and host "block" parties on demand due to being part Plastic-man. You better believe I was watching Jordan and following the Bulls harder than ICE follows my people. I remember watching the playoffs on a tiny handheld TV that someone was holding up for everyone to watch at Humboldt Park's Puerto Rican carnival, during a Cover's Girls performance. Basketball is in my blood.

I wanted to create something people could experience all around and something they could reveal. You see a different experience when you position yourself at different angles. At one angle you see hints of Chicago elements with a dynamic and creative looking "23". Another angle offers the message "GOAT" reminding the world that until future notice, Michael Jordan is the greatest of all time. When you walk around, you can end the experience by lining up all the pieces precisely, unveiling a rendering of Michael Jordan, suspended in air. It's a unique piece of augmented reality.
